Meet the Groundbreaking 2025 Kia EV9

The EV9 makes use of innovative EV technology to provide plenty of power and range, plus quick recharging times. Using a DC 350 kW fast charger, you can recharge the EV9’s battery from 10 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes, so you can get back on the road quickly. You can also charge the EV9’s battery from 10 to 100 percent overnight with a Level 2 at-home charger in less than 9 hours.

With five trims to choose from, the EV9 has plenty of options for power, range, and efficiency. The entry-level Light trim provides 215 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, with an EPA-estimated 88 MPGe combined efficiency and 230 miles of range. The Light Long Range trim has 89 MPGe combined efficiency with 304 miles of range. For a 0-60 mph speed of 5.0 seconds, choose the GT-Line with 379 horsepower, 516 lb.-ft. of torque, and 270 miles of range.

Three Rows of Luxury

Inside the EV9’s cabin, there’s plenty of room for six or seven passengers, depending on whether you choose a model with a second-row bench seat or captain’s chairs. The front seats are heated and ventilated, and rear passengers get separate climate settings with the standard tri-zone auto climate control system.

Behind the third row, the EV9 has 20.2 cubic feet of space for all your cargo, and folding the second- and third-row seats gets you 81.7 cubic feet of storage. You can even open and close the Smart Power Liftgate hands-free by standing near it with your Smart Key for 3 seconds. A front trunk provides up to 3.2 additional cubic feet of hidden storage.

Tech Features That Impress

The EV9 comes loaded with useful tech features, like Highway Driving Assist 2, which provides driving assistance on compatible roads. This system detects lane markers and nearby vehicles and adjusts your speed and steering to maintain a safe following distance and keep you in your lane. Families will also appreciate the audio system’s Passenger Talk feature, which lets you communicate with rear-seat passengers without turning around.
